Valentine’s Day

Admist the recent career switch, Vancouver winter Olympics and Chinese New Year, I caught the movie Valentine’s Day. It was my long overdue dose of chick flick, after the lack of good options for Christmas. My companion was the unfortunate victim of my chick flick obsession. He was also promptly ‘rewarded’ by the severe lack of screen time for Jess Alba. The part about “chopping up the balls, blending them into a pulp and stuffing them up one’s ass” had me in stitches. The rest of the cinema had a great time howling at the last scene – of two hunky men staring lovingly into each others’ eyes. I thought Julia Robs paled in comparison to the other actresses, literally. Her face was pale throughout the ‘flight’.

Anyways, I had a gd time…which almost reminded me of the dreadful Valentine’s Day I had two yrs ago. I was actually tempted to start a facebook thread on “What’s your worse V-day boo-boo?” Exotic friends around me could contribute with their japanese excapade(S), forrays with married men and what not.

I’ve come a long way I guess. From being a nerdy tomboy who was rejected on valentine’s day to one who gets msn-ed by a new colleague 3rd day into the job.
